Efterårsblomster

{Fine efterårsblomster // Pretty fall flowers}

English: Just as fast as it became Friday, just as fast was the weekend over – and now the calendar writes Monday again. And here on the address Monday rhymes with five little lovely things and a look back at the week that past. And fortunately there were plenty of those. Pretty fall flowers from cousin A have been brighting up my living room all week. There’s few things was lovely as fresh flowers, and in the most beautiful fall color at that.

The week’s additional lovely moments included a very early alarm, an attempt to quietly get dressed, go to the bakery and set the table for a birthday breakfast for the boy. On Friday I had an event with my old work and a bunch of my former colleagues, who I’d completely forgotten how much I’d missed. To go from an office with about 100 colleagues to one with just three besides myself has been somewhat of a change, but just as much as I enjoyed having many colleagues and always meeting someone new at the coffee machine and having a little chat, just as much do I enjoy having my own office and a few good colleagues. The event started with a canal tour with a champagne tasting and lots of snack, then we headed to the Paper Island, where we all got some chips to buy food at the food truck at Copenhagen Street Food (hello gourmet hotdog!), and then on to the infamous party bus, which drove us around Copenhagen with a couple of bar stops. Did I mention the event included an open bar?

Saturday brought a tired head and a lovely breakfast date with my old roommate in Jægersborggade. Sunshine, fresh pressed juice and coffee was just what I needed. The rest of the day was spent with a trip up to my grandparents’ house, where my grandmother as always served all kinds of goods. Especially her traditional Danish apple cake received many mmm-sounds. Sunday went with assisting in assignment writing and lots of doggy kisses and play bites, before the middle one drove me back to Copenhagen (luxury!), followed by a movie on TV and mix-it-yourself-candy in the bowl. I can’t complain.
