It has hardly gone many of you by that last week was Copenhagen Dining Week. I’d bought tickets for Sticks’n’Sushi with my friend Julie and Nimb Vinotek with the boy. Both places offered really delicious food and wine experiences, but it was just so dark in Nimb Vinotek, that I gave up documenting the dinner. Without a doubt to the boy’s delight, who hates having to wait until I’ve taken just one more photo of our food. Instead Julie became the victim of my perpetual camera-snapping and reorganizing plates and glasses.

Actually this was my first visit to Sticks’n’Sushi, which I quickly learned was a big mistake. Everything was so delicious, the waiters were friendly and attentive and we left with very very filled stomachs. The menu consisted of different starters: different vegetables and some dip, ceviche with salmon topped with trout roe and the world’s most delicious little tempura shrimp bits with miso-aioli and chili (I only want to eat them for the rest of my life!) Because it was Tuesday and all we started off with a glass of champagne. Just as we were sitting there stuffing our faces, a massive tray of various inside-out maki and nigiri a long with rice paper rolls with duck. During the main course we went on to a glass of Riesling, which was wonderfully fresh together with all the amazing sushi. When we almost couldn’t roll our eyes anymore, our waiter brought out our sticks. The grilled tuna with chili dip was definitely my favorite.

What a feast. Unfortunately, we had to give in with still some of the starters, sushi and sticks left, but definitely not because everything wasn’t amazing. That night I biked home to Nørrebro slight buzzed and the a stomach filled with lovely food memories.
